Utilizing filmmaking, Dasilva has empowered and brought attention to Age of Union’s worldwide conservation initiatives, producing five other film projects in the past, and garnering support for some of the Earth’s most trying issues.

Dax Dasilva is one of the most passionate leaders. After founding Montreal-based technology giant Lightspeed, where he was CEO for 17 years, he chose a new path becoming Executive Chairman of Lightspeed to dedicate himself to the forefront of the environmental organization, Age of Union, focused on conservation efforts.

Dax Dasilva started software company Lightspeed in 2005 out of a Montreal triplex and grew it into a business valued at billions of dollars. After stepping down as CEO earlier this year, he’s been doubling down on his efforts to combat the climate crisis with his non-profit, Age of Union.

Mr. Dasilva has donated $40-million to set up Age of Union, which will fund environmental protection projects in Canada and around the world.

Air Canada becomes the first airline globally to showcase conservation documentaries from Age of Union, a non-profit environmental alliance that supports and makes visible a global community of changemakers working on the ground to protect the planet's threatened species and ecosystems.
